INDIAN HEAD MASSAGE (available Thursday, Friday and Saturday)
As the name suggests, this form of massage originated in India some 4000 years ago.
Massage is very much a part of family life in India, and is performed on all generations from newborn babies to the elderly.
Narendra Mehta first brought this method of healing to the UK in 1991. Having studied the Western lifestyle, he adapted the massage to incorporate the neck, shoulders and back - these being key areas where stress is felt.
What Is An Indian Head Massage? Indian Head Massage is a therapy which is performed around the back, shoulders, neck, scalp and facial areas. The recipient remains fully clothed (though preferably wearing a close fitting cotton top) and seated throughout the session. As the treatment works on both the physical and psychological levels, it gives a sense of well being to the recipient.
Due to the accessibility of the treatment it can be practiced almost anywhere and is therefore increasing in popularity as a 'Lunchtime Treat', taking approximately 35 minutes.
How Can An Indian Head Massage Benefit You?
• Improved blood circulation to the back, shoulders, neck, scalp and facial areas.
• Loosens the scalp, helping to promote hair growth and condition.
• Can alleviate stress, irritability and tiredness.
• Restores energy to the body making you feel calm and balanced.
• Gives a feeling of deep relaxation.
Indian Head Massage can be received at anytime to give you that feel good factor. Oils are not used in this treatment.
